I have always been interested in a holistic approach to healing – since my earliest interest in medicine and family practice many years ago.

OfficeI practiced family medicine for 10 years at GHC,  trying to take the time to focus on preventing illness, as well as treating established conditions.   In the late 1990’s I questioned whether the direction of western medicine could continue to support my own ideas for providing optimal health care.  As I looked into other forms of healing, I was drawn to the perspective of Chinese Medicine.
Chinese medicine uses acupuncture and Chinese herbs, as well as dietary, and lifestyle recommendations to treat a variety of conditions.  There is the belief that many illnesses can be stabilized, or even prevented.

The definition of being in good health is more than just the absence of illness.  Instead, good health occurs when we are able to have the energy, motivation, and ability to live an active and balanced life – embracing our life experience as fully as possible, with few limitations.  Chinese medicine believes that throughout our life cycle, we are able to enhance and optimize our health and resilience.

Patient RoomChinese medicine sees healers as mentors and teachers, so I try to practice what I preach.  It is a welcome change for me!

Working independently allows me to spend enough time with my clients, so that I can provide excellent acupuncture care, at a pace which is enjoyable and sustainable .

I practice out of a new home-office, built in 2007 – using green design ideas and practices.
